The holiday region Gitschberg-Jochtal comprises the holiday resorts Maranza (Meransen) and the Val di Valles valley (Jochtal).
The vacation village Maranza lies at a height of 1.400 m above sea level on a wide sun terrace and is embedded in hilly pastures and steep coniferous forests.
From the village you have a fantastic view over the southern Valle Isarco valley and the beginning of the Val Pusteria valley.

A cable car takes hikers from Rio Pusteria to the small ski resort Maranza. From Maranza you can go up to the sunny ski resort Gitschberg with a gondola cable railway.
The adventure indoor pool Alpinpool is also good fun for the whole family.

Valles (Vals) is a holiday village at 1.250 m above sea level, embedded in a beautiful ski resort and area of mountain pastures.
It is good for hiking in summer and in winter the ski resort Valles-Jochtal offers good slopes and cross country skiing runs, a tobogganing/sledging run and hiking trails.
